7x5mm Four Daisy Ring
The daisy is technically two different flowers. The center part is one and the petals are “rays” of another, coming together and working in perfect harmony. Over 12,000 species of daisies exist all around the world, a symbol of infinite possibilities (well, at least 12,000). It is a symbol of true love and affection. They are very strong and resilient flowers but also represent kindness and compassion. This flower was sacred to Freya, the Norse goddess of beauty, love, and childbirth. This makes this design a great gift for the new mother in your life. To the Victorians, they represented loyalty and trust. Their connection to the cycle of life is also clear in the English idiom “pushing daisies”, a beautiful phrase representing the old giving way to the new. The word ‘daisy’ comes from the Old English for “day’s eye” as they only opened in the daytime, a perfect symbol of new beginnings.
